Privacy Policy

Zen Sudoku is a native iOS game designed to work without an Appicture account or gameplay server. This policy explains what stays local, when Apple services are involved, and how these web pages differ from the app.

Effective date: 15 August 2026

Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Zen Sudoku iOS app published by Appicture and to the Zen Sudoku pages on appicture.com. The app and the website do not have the same data practices, so they are described separately below.

The iOS app does not send gameplay or progress to Appicture. The website uses Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate page traffic; that analytics service is not included in Zen Sudoku.

Data stored on your device

Zen Sudoku stores the information needed to run the game locally on your device. Depending on how you play and configure the app, that can include:

  • puzzles, gameplay history, progress, and earned content;
  • preferences such as sound, haptics, and reminder settings; and
  • local purchase-delivery state, including transaction identifiers used to avoid granting the same purchase more than once.

This information is not uploaded to an Appicture account, cloud-save service, custom backend, or gameplay server. Local gameplay remains available while you are signed out of Game Center and offline.

Zen Sudoku Settings includes an option to reset local progress. Local data can also be lost when the app is deleted or the device is erased. A reset affects data on the device; it does not cancel a subscription or erase purchase history kept by Apple.

App Store purchases

Zen Sudoku uses Apple's StoreKit 2 and the App Store directly for in-app purchases. The live App Store catalog may include monthly or yearly subscriptions and consumable gem packs. The products and terms shown in Apple's purchase sheet at the time of purchase are the authoritative offer.

Apple processes your Apple Account, payment method, billing details, transaction records, and subscription history. Zen Sudoku never sees your payment-card number, bank details, Apple Account password, or other payment credentials. StoreKit provides the app with product, transaction, and entitlement information needed to deliver a purchase and determine whether access is active.

Apple retains and manages App Store purchase and subscription history under its policies. Resetting local progress does not change those Apple records. Eligible subscriptions and non-consumable purchases can be restored for the Apple Account that bought them; consumable gem packs are not generally restorable after they have been delivered.

Optional Game Center features

Game Center is optional. If you choose to sign in and use its features, Apple may process and display information such as your Game Center alias, leaderboard scores, and achievement progress. Zen Sudoku may read or submit that information through Apple's Game Center service to provide the features you use.

Appicture does not operate a separate leaderboard or profile server. You can keep playing locally while signed out or offline, although Game Center features need Apple's service and a network connection. You control Game Center sign-in and sharing in iOS Settings.

Apple explains its processing and visibility controls in the Game Center & Privacy notice (opens in a new tab).

Local notifications and sharing

Notifications

Zen Sudoku may ask for permission to schedule optional local notifications, such as a reminder you enable. Permission is handled by iOS, and the reminder is scheduled and delivered on your device. The app does not use an Appicture push-notification server. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Sharing

Sharing happens only when you initiate it. If you open the iOS share sheet, the content you choose is passed to iOS and then to the app, person, or service you select. Their privacy practices apply after you choose a destination. Zen Sudoku does not automatically send shared content to Appicture.

What the app does not collect

The Zen Sudoku iOS app has:

  • no Appicture account or required sign-in;
  • no Appicture backend, cloud save, or custom gameplay server;
  • no advertising SDK or advertising network;
  • no cross-app tracking or advertising identifier use;
  • no third-party analytics SDK; and
  • no third-party crash-reporting SDK.

Apple may make platform-level App Store, purchase, or diagnostic information available according to Apple's services and the analytics-sharing choices on your device. That is separate from adding an analytics or crash SDK to Zen Sudoku.

This website is separate from the app

Appicture uses Vercel Web Analytics on appicture.com, including these Zen Sudoku pages, to understand aggregate page traffic. The analytics component is part of the website only and is not bundled into the iOS app.

Vercel says Web Analytics records anonymous page views without third-party cookies and provides aggregate statistics that are not tied to an individual or IP address. Data points can include the page path, referrer, approximate geographic region, browser, operating system, and device type. These pages have no Appicture account or web form.

See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation (opens in a new tab) for more information.

Information you choose to send us

If you email Appicture for support, a privacy request, or another question, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and technical details about the issue. Your email provider and ours also process ordinary email routing information.

We use support correspondence to reply, troubleshoot, protect the app, and keep a reasonable record of the request. Do not send Apple Account passwords, payment-card details, or other credentials. Email is user-initiated and is not automatic collection by Zen Sudoku.

Your choices and privacy rights

  • Use Zen Sudoku without an Appicture account and play locally while signed out of Game Center or offline.
  • Manage Game Center and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
  • Reset local progress from Zen Sudoku Settings.
  • Manage subscriptions, purchase history, and Apple service data with Apple.

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights over personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, or objection. Because the app has no Appicture account or backend, we normally cannot identify an app user from local gameplay. Contact us about information you deliberately sent by email. Requests about App Store or Game Center records should be directed to Apple, which controls those records.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy if Zen Sudoku's features or data practices change. A revised policy will show a new effective date. We will update the app's App Store privacy disclosures when required before materially different data practices ship.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@appicture.com.
