Agreement and Apple terms
These Terms of Use (the Terms) are an agreement between you and Appicture for your use of the Zen Sudoku iOS app. By downloading, accessing, or using Zen Sudoku, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Your license to Zen Sudoku is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) (opens in a new tab). These Terms supplement the Standard EULA with Zen Sudoku-specific rules. The Standard EULA continues to govern the App Store license and Apple's role. If there is a conflict about that license, the Standard EULA controls to the extent required by Apple's terms or applicable law.
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If someone else controls the device or Apple Account used for a purchase, you must have their authorization.
Your license to use Zen Sudoku
Subject to these Terms and the Standard EULA, Appicture grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Zen Sudoku for personal, non-commercial play on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's usage rules and Family Sharing rules where applicable.
The app is licensed, not sold. No ownership in Zen Sudoku, its code, artwork, sound, design, name, or other content is transferred to you.
Purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions
Zen Sudoku may offer optional in-app products through Apple's StoreKit 2 and the App Store. Depending on the live catalog, these may include monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions and consumable gem packs. Product availability can change.
The App Store purchase sheet shows the current product, billing period, localized price, currency, and any trial or introductory offer for which Apple says you are eligible. Those details control your purchase. These Terms do not promise a particular price, trial, discount, or eligibility.
Subscriptions
Payment is charged by Apple to your Apple Account when you confirm a subscription. A monthly or yearly subscription automatically renews for the same period until canceled. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current subscription period ends, under the App Store terms applicable to your account.
You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings by selecting your name and then Subscriptions, or by following Apple's subscription cancellation instructions (opens in a new tab). Deleting Zen Sudoku or resetting local progress does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, access normally continues until the end of the paid period shown by Apple, unless Apple tells you otherwise.
Consumable gem packs
Consumable gems can be used in the app and are delivered once for the completed transaction. They are not a bank balance, have no cash value, cannot be transferred outside Zen Sudoku, and are not generally restorable after delivery. Do not buy a gem pack unless you are authorized to use the Apple Account's payment method.
Restore and refunds
Zen Sudoku can use StoreKit to restore eligible active subscriptions and non-consumable entitlements associated with the Apple Account that purchased them. Restore Purchases does not recreate consumed gems or local gameplay progress.
Apple processes payments and decides App Store refund requests under its rules and applicable law. To ask for a refund, use Apple's refund request process (opens in a new tab). Nothing in these Terms limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot be waived under the law where you live.
Local data and reset
Gameplay, progress, settings, and purchase-delivery state are stored locally on your device. Zen Sudoku does not provide an Appicture account, custom cloud save, or recovery service for that information. You are responsible for considering this before deleting the app, erasing or replacing a device, or using Reset Progress in Zen Sudoku Settings.
A local reset can remove progress stored on the device. It does not cancel an Apple subscription or erase Apple's purchase history. Eligible subscriptions or non-consumable entitlements may be restored, but local progress and previously delivered consumables may not be recoverable.
Optional Apple services
Game Center is optional. If you use it, your alias, scores, achievements, and related activity are handled through Apple's service and subject to Apple's terms and privacy choices. Zen Sudoku also relies on iOS for optional local-notification permission and for any share sheet you choose to open.
Local gameplay works while you are signed out and offline. StoreKit, App Store purchasing or restoration, Game Center, and a sharing destination may require an Apple service, compatible device settings, and a network connection. Appicture does not control the availability of those services.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Zen Sudoku for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity;
- interfere with the app, StoreKit purchase flow, Game Center, leaderboards, achievements, or another person's use;
- falsify scores, purchases, transaction state, or entitlement status;
- copy, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or its content; or
- reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works from the app except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
Availability, compatibility, and updates
We may maintain, update, rebalance, add to, or remove parts of Zen Sudoku over time. The app may require a supported version of iOS and a compatible device. We do not promise that every feature, puzzle, product, or Apple service will always be available or error-free.
We may suspend or discontinue the app or a feature where reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, technical, or product reasons. Where required, we will respect active paid entitlements and applicable consumer law.
Ownership and intellectual property
Appicture and its licensors retain all rights in Zen Sudoku and its original software, visual design, text, audio, game content, trademarks, and other materials. Apple and Game Center names and marks belong to Apple. Third-party materials remain owned by their respective owners.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
The warranties, remedies, and liability rules in Apple's Standard EULA apply to the app license. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zen Sudoku is otherwise provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and Appicture does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appicture is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the app or unavailable third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory warranties, consumer remedies, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Termination and changes
Your right to use Zen Sudoku ends if you materially breach these Terms or the Standard EULA. On termination, stop using the app. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits—survive.
We may update these Terms to reflect app, legal, or service changes. Updated Terms will show a new effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice when reasonably required. Continuing to use the app after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where applicable law allows.
